…and after all that, I still get the same stinking error message.
Is anyone else surprised by this?
The damn thing just refuses to work right. It’s not like I’ve strapped this to my chest as body armor and entered an Ultimate Fighting Tournament.
I just tried to use the computer to do what it allegedly is supposed to do. Any actual video professional who hopes to be able to use this AR370 to do what it is (allegedly) designed to do — that is, to do field editing of HD video content — has to have rocks in their heads.
You cannot rely on a machine that is fundamentally unreliable.
Now it’s trying to get me to sign up for all the crapware too.
Talk about adding insult to injury.
Wow. I have an AR370 CTO that I designed on SonyStyle. It has the EXACT same problems as yours. I’ve done everything on my end possible, but I haven’t sent it to the factory yet. When did you buy your’s? I got mine in the end of June. Having any trouble with WinDVD? I can’t get audio to output through HDMI when playing a BD movie. It outputs any other time, but as soon as I start WinDVD, say goodbye to any HDMI audio. The Sony tech says I’m going to have to take it to a repair center, which is stupid, because its obviously a software issue. I have to do a FULL SYSTEM RECOVERY to reinstall just WinDVD. Sony doesn’t offer a download of the full version. You’re lucky you’ve just got a $2800 paperweight. I’ve got a $3900 paperweight.
I just got the same message today on my Sony VGN-AR28 which I bought in February this year. The whole computer crashed and I had to do a FULL SYSTEM RECOVERY.
After completing a FULL SYSTEM RECOVERY, the problem still remains.
Did you end up getting you computer fixed by the Repair Centre?
