This was taken this last Sunday, after we had finished with the training in Monteria. The Gerente of the El Meridiano papers invited us to his finca outside Monteria, where we talked at length about newspapers, press freedom, the changes in the cultural landscape in Colombia, and how the graneros (livestock) they have on the ranch manage to survive the fierce sun & heat.

I wish I could say that after about 3 weeks of constant practice here, my Spanish is flawless, but unfortunately after about 2 hours of constant conversation, my brain starts to overheat. Which, in the hot&steamy climate of Monteria is not a long journey.

So I beat a hasty retreat to the lovely hammocks they strung up, and laid there a while until the language translation centers in my brain crept back down from redline.
