Moscow RIver and the Kremlin

This is more like what you expect from Moscow in late winter/early spring. Dreary skies, smokestacks spewing pollution, dead fish floating in the river below … Actually it was mostly sunny and it took a while for me to find conditions oppressive and gray like this.

It’s humbling to think that the bridge I was standing on, and the orange walls of the Kremlin, have been in existence for something like 1,000 years.
