I know that the standards of what&#8217;s legal or not are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.firedoglake.com\/2006\/05\/15\/if-the-gnome-is-in-the-garden-meet-at-the-jefferson-memorial-at-high-noon\/\">pretty much getting trampled into the mud these days<\/a>, and that the attitude of the current administration is that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.msnbc.msn.com\/id\/12800157\/\">business can pretty much engage in all the nasty fuckery they feel like<\/a>, as long as the checks keep coming in, but COME ON! Impersonating private citizens in order to get their grubby little mitts into the cookie jar???<\/p>\n<p>Sheesh.&nbsp; Gotta cool off a bit.&nbsp; Here&#8217;s the nut grafs on this absolute rat bastard sham.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff3333;\">Verizon wanted it to appear that<br \/>\nthere was a real grass roots effort in support of them being undertaken<br \/>\nby the residents of our small town; but there wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t. It was all made up and it backfired miserably.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff3333;\">Now the telcos are doing it again. Have these guys got balls or what? They<br \/>\nset up a phony web site, designed it to appear to be run by a grass<br \/>\nroots organization and started pushing a web video trying to discredit<br \/>\na real grass roots campaign. (I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m not going to link to their web site)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff3333;\">Let me try to speak clearly to telecom management:&nbsp; <strong>These ass backwards actions are exactly the reason why we don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t trust you and your future plans for the internet. Can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t you see that? Who\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s running things up there? We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re not bad people trying to make life hard on you, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s your actions that make us not trust you. Speak clearly to us, state your case, engage in rational debate and build up a relationship with your customers.
