Janine Warner, Founder & Interactive Designer

Janine Warner's best-selling books and videos about the Internet have won her an international following and earned her speaking and consulting engagements around the world.

A popular speaker at conferences and events, Janine has delivered keynotes on The Growing Importance of the Mobile Web, How HTML5 is Transforming Interactive Design, When to Create a Mobile Web App vs. a Native App, and Successful Strategies in Online Business.

She has also had the honor of serving as a judge in the Interactive Emmy Awards, the Knight News Challenge, and the Arroba de Oro Latin American Internet Awards. She consults and presents in Spanish and English, and is conversational in Portuguese.

Janine started her career as a journalist at the Pulitzer Prize Winning Point Reyes Lightnewspaper in Marin County, California, and her articles and columns have appeared in a variety of publications, including The Miami Herald, and Shape Magazine. She's also been a regular columnist forLayers Magazine.

Janine's experience on the Internet dates back to 1994, when she ran Visiontec Communications, a Web design firm in Northern California, where she worked for a diverse group of clients including Levi Strauss & Co., AirTouch Communications, and many other small- and medium-size businesses.

In 1998, she went to work for The Miami Herald, first as its Online Managing Editor and later as Director of New Media. She left that position to serve as Director of Latin American Operations for CNET Networks, an international technology media company.

Janine has written more than a dozen books, including iPhone & iPad Web Design For DummiesMobile Web Design For DummiesWeb Sites For DummiesAdobe Dreamweaver For Dummies (every edition) and Teach Yourself Dreameaver Visually (the last four editions). She's also the creator of the Web design consulting and training site http://www.DigitalFamily.com.

Janine is the host of a growing collection of training videos for KelbyTraining.com in Web design, Adobe Dreamweaver CS5, and Cascading Style Sheets. Prior to working with Kelby Media, she created videos for TotalTraining.com on Dreamweaver 8, Cs3, and CS4, and Microsoft Expression Web.

Janine has been a part-time faculty member at both the University of Miami and the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication.
